Dr. Ahmed has been licensed and caring for patients in Michigan since 1997. He is the graduate of Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi Pakistan. Dr. Ahmed is the founder of Great Lakes Medical Center, which opened March 1st, 2010. Prior to owning his own practice, he worked at the Saginaw Veteran’s Hospital for 8 years and in private practice for 3 years in Bay City. He has achieved board certifications in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, and is a Certified Medical Director for long term care facilities. His geriatric fellowship was accomplished at William Beaumont Hospital. He currently has hospital privileges at McLaren Bay Region and provides extended care at Bay County Medical Care Facility in Bay City, Brittany Manor, and King’s Daughters Home both in Midland. Dr. Ahmed loves offering a diverse background to all patients in his practice, but feels a definite connection with his geriatric and end of life patients.
